What a busy week! We would like to thank all the parents who attended our first Family Night on Wednesday. The kids loved the pasta and bingo. We'd like to thank Mrs. Gillmeister for organizing this event. Today we all wore our pajamas to support our student council, and ate lots of pizza for lunch. Thank you to Mrs. Ayer and her team for organizing our first pizza lunch. In about 40 minutes, we are also having our final Terry Fox Assembly! We thank all the families who contributed to this very special cause.
Next week we invite you to Parent Council on Monday night in the library at 7:30 p.m. On Wednesday, the grade 8 parents are invited to the information night on secondary schools. Finally, Bruce Davis, the trustee, will be hosting his Ward meeting at Islington Junior Middle school @ 7:00 p.m. The topic is on Secondary Schools.
Hopefully, staff have sent home parent/teacher interview letters or emailed/called to schedule a first term interview. Please return responses by Wednesday as we need to meet as a staff to schedule common interviews times for siblings.
Finally, we invite you to our Remembrance Day Assembly @ 10:30 a.m. on the 11th. Thank you to Mrs. Wolfer and Mrs. Rychlik for creating our display in the front hall. It shows a wonderful piece of LKS history.
